start each problem on a new sheet of paper and put your name on all sheets
of paper.
Modify the CSIM M/M/1 simulation model (available
here) to model M/D/1. Include theoretical
results for M/D/1 (i.e., in the same manner as the M/M/1 model includes
theoretical results). Set the service rate of the model to be 1 customer
per second. Then, execute the model for offered loads of 70% to 98% in
offered load increments of 4%. Plot the results for mean response time. Do
this for simulation times of 1000, 10,000, and 100,000, seconds per data point
(i.e., per offered load value). Plot also the theoretical results. Comment
on the closeness of the simulation results to the theoretical results.
