Departmental Electives - The program flow allows the undergraduate student to choose different courses of a hardware, software or theory perspective to meet department requirements. This flexibility offers a "customized" background for the individual student. To assist you in determining which courses will meet degree requirements, a list of typical elective courses is provided here. This list is not all-inclusive, and courses may be added or deleted, as faculty changes. A course which is required in one program may be an elective in another. Be sure to verify the course with the desired degree program. See Dr. Kouri for further information on Departmental electives. Please note that Information Technology (IT) courses (e.g., as offered in Lakeland and Sarasota) cannot be counted for credit in any of our three programs (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Systems).
