Sridhar Godavarthy is the recipient of the 'Engineering Research Week Poster Award' along with 10 other engineering students. Sridhar is a Masters student in the department of Computer Science and Engineering. He is currently working on Facial expression recognition under the guidance of Dmitry Goldgof PhD. The poster was titled 'Towards Macro- and Micro- Expression Spotting in Video'.

The dean of the College of Engineering, John M Wiencek PhD conveyed his congratulations:
"Over 125 high-quality posters were presented during the poster competition, and being selected among this large group of peers is something in which you can take great pride. In addition to this honor, I congratulate you on your research accomplishments and thank you for your efforts in advancing the reputation of our university."
